Shipping your boat round trip
We are fortunate to have in the Valle community two very capable and resourceful boatswain, They are Joel Rodriguez a.k.a "Zancudo", and Carlos Reyes. They have the capability to tow your boat to Valle and back...in interested in a quote please contact Roberto Escalante (see contact page).
Joel Rodriguez, a.k a. "Zancudo"
Zancudo has been in the business for a long time and has ample experience moving and fixing boats. He has been key in the J/24 fleet in fairing keels, and doing specialized work. He is handy with fiberglass, carbon fiber and many other materials and techniques. He has also plenty of experience crossing the border with boats and doing temporary importations.
Zancudo´s shipping deal from Laredo, Texas, to Valle de Bravo round trip, costs USD $3,000 plus an additional USD $500 that must be paid to the warehouse in Laredo for using its space and crane. Thus his shipping deal, comes to a total of USD $3,500. Photo: Left; Joel "Zancudo" Rodriguez. Right; Eduardo Porter (aka Goldo) at the 2016 J/70 World Championship in San Francisco, CA. |

Carlos has plenty of experience in boat transportation, sailing, and harbor management. He owns his own marina-club "El Zarco" and organizes a yearly successful multi class regatta amongst other beautiful projects like sailing schools and clinics. He has towed all sorts of vessels from optis and RIBS, to J/70´s and oceanic keel boats all around Mexico and to the USA as well.
Carlos can quote a tow round trip from your club or home to Valle de Bravo. He also has options where you can tow your boat to the border and he can take it from there. Photos: Right; Carlos and his kid in Puerto Vallarta. Bellow: Carlos and his trucks in action. |
